Dr. Deborah Barros Leal Farias
Dr. Deborah Barros Leal Farias is a Senior Lecturer at UNSW-Sydney's School of Sciences, where she teaches Politics and International Relations, where she focuses on Global Politics, Global Governance, and International Organizations. Her current main areas of interest involve power and international organizations, and Brazilian politics. She is co-director of UNSW's Globalisation & Governance Research Network and Faculty Wellbeing co-Champion.

In the past 25 years, she has worked in government, on interdisciplinary research projects (financed by Genome Canada, and the International Energy Agency), and taught in universities in Brazil, Canada, and Australia. She has a PhD in Political Science from the University of British Columbia (Canada), a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Brasilia (Brazil), and Bachelor degrees in Law (University of Fortaleza, Brazil) and Economy (Federal University of Ceara, Brazil).
